About Hozan Dilgeş
Hozan Dilgeş is a Kurmanji political-folk singer who emerged in the 1980s and became one of the major voices of Kurdish protest music in exile. Forced to leave Turkey under the post-1980 coup restrictions, he settled in Sweden and produced extensive recordings addressing Kurdish political identity, exile, and resistance. His work remains influential in the Kurdish diaspora music scene.
