About Nizamettin Ariç
Nizamettin Ariç is a Kurmanji singer, composer, and filmmaker born in Ağrı in 1956. He fled Turkey after the 1980 coup and settled in Germany, where he continues to record and perform. His album work spans traditional Kurmanji folk and original political-folk compositions. He directed the 1992 film "Klamek ji bo Beko" (A Song for Beko), one of the first Kurdish-language feature films.
