About Aynur Doğan
Aynur Doğan is a leading contemporary Kurmanji vocalist who brought Kurdish music to international attention. Born in Tunceli in 1975, she draws from the Alevi religious tradition and Kurmanji folk repertoire. Her recordings have been performed at major world music festivals and her voice introduced a new generation to Kurmanji song.
